Our story
CFC (Centre de Formation à la Croisière) was founded in 1977 at the initiative of Philippe Facque. At the time, it operated as a cruising school in partnership with the Kelt Marine shipyard.
Driven by growing demand, the activity quickly expanded to include sailing yacht charter in Southern Brittany, based in La Trinité-sur-Mer, initially with smaller-sized yachts.
In the early 2000s, in response to changes in the leisure boating market, the fleet evolved towards larger sailing yachts, up to 46 feet. In 2014, the development of marina facilities in La Trinité-sur-Mer made it possible to introduce catamarans into the fleet.
Today, our team consists of 10 people, each specialising in their field and able to support you with monohull or catamaran charters in Southern Brittany, marine electronics equipment, or the ongoing maintenance of your boat.
With over 40 years of experience, CFC offers access to sailing through an approach tailored to each individual.
Our team
Vincent Villain – Agency Manager
Holder of a State Sailing Instructor’s Certificate obtained at the ENV (École Nationale de Voile) and a BPPV (Professional Sailing Skipper’s Certificate), and with a technical and commercial training completed at the INB (Institut Nautique de Bretagne), he joined the team in 1995 as head of the cruising school. He later became pontoon manager and, since 2006, agency manager.
He is also in charge of the charter management department for owners within our fleet.
Pontoon team
Jessica Guillas – Technician
Jessica is the very definition of a self-taught professional.
After working for four years in personal care services, she joined the team in February 2010 as a cleaning operative.
Thanks to her reliability and efficiency, combined with in-house training, she progressed to the role of technician and became a permanent member of the team.
Robin Marchand – Technician
Robin joined our team in 2023 as an intern during two placements as part of his training as a Marine Leisure Maintenance Technician (AMMP) at AFPA in Auray.
Following this experience, CFC offered him a permanent position, which he accepted in June 2023.
They ensure the fleet is maintained on a daily basis during the high season, making sure the boats are always ready to sail.
They are also the team members who welcome you on your arrival in La Trinité-sur-Mer, carry out the handover with you, and answer any technical questions you may have.
Outside the season, they take care of winterising the boats: checking equipment, particularly safety gear, sanding and painting hulls, drying out and cleaning the vessels.
Cécile Plumer – Sales Assistant
She is responsible for managing relationships with charter clients, including quotations, contracts, administrative formalities and practical information.
CFC Electronics
Hervé Pugin – Marine Electronics Maintenance Technician
Originally trained in mechanics, Hervé later specialised in electronics and now holds NMEA and ABYC certifications. An experienced sailor, he completed his first transatlantic crossing in 2005 and sails regularly, both racing and cruising.
After many years under the sun of Grenada and Guadeloupe, notably as technical and sales manager for the company Pochon, Hervé eventually succumbed to the charm of Morbihan. He joined the CFC team in November 2022 as a marine electronics maintenance technician.
Bonus: he is fluent in English.
Stéphane Kastler – Marine Electronics Technician
Stéphane joined the CFC Électronique team with a strong technical and maritime background. He holds a vocational baccalaureate in mechanical engineering and a BTS in industrial computer systems analysis and programming, combining solid technical skills with extensive sea experience.
With over 20 years of delivery sailing as a skipper, Stéphane also spent eight years living in the Caribbean aboard his own boat between 2002 and 2010. Passionate about sailing and technical preparation, he then worked for eight years as a preparer for offshore racing before joining CFC.
Thomas Ruaux – Electrical & Electronics Technician
Thomas brings solid experience in boating and onboard electronics to CFC Électronique. After obtaining a Marine Engineering Certificate (BEP Machine Marine) from the Nantes Maritime and Aquaculture School, he completed a CQP as a Marine Industry Maintenance Technician at INB.
From 1999 to 2001, he worked as a maintenance technician on leisure boats. He later joined the Le Pennec shipyard from 2012 to 2018 as a multi-skilled electrical technician, preparing new boats.
Over the following six years, Thomas worked as an electrical and electronics technician, first with BT Marine and then with Kervilor, contributing to both leisure boating and offshore racing projects (Sodebo, Banque Populaire, L’Occitane).
Marie-Claude Le Moing – Operations & Scheduling Coordinator
Since March 2020, Marie-Claude has been handling your quotation requests and scheduling the work carried out by Hervé, Stéphane and Thomas.
She holds a DUT in management and brings extensive professional experience across several areas of the marine industry (Étel fishermen’s cooperative, Coop Maritime, ENV, and rigging services). Marie-Claude is a key asset to CFC Électronique.
Maintenance & Concierge Services: entrust us with the care of your boat!
Loris Fagnen – Maintenance Technician
Or more precisely, entrust it to our specialist: Loris.
In 2000, Loris completed professional training in leisure boat maintenance at AFPA in Cherbourg. He then continued to develop his skills by working in shipyards on new boat preparation, full refits, and composite work in particular.
He joined us in 2014 to strengthen the pontoon team on a part-time basis, while carrying out boat maintenance during the other half of his time.
Today, his role is entirely dedicated to boat maintenance, whether the boats are part of the CFC fleet or privately owned.
